CG HISTORY:
Created for a single show in 1992‹the Greenwood High School Homecoming Bonfire‹the band soon became known as the quintessential good-time party band. Big on alcohol, low on musical talent, the bandmembers plunged into the topsy-turvy, post-arena, grunge-era rock sound of the early 1990s. The influences of the early band ranged from gospel to grunge. One of the first questions the band would ask before tackling a new cover song was, "is it hard to play?"

They were often forced to create their own sound when playing covers, generating a sound that could not be categorized until years later when it was dubbed "sloppy rock" by the media. Re-formed in 2005 for another single show‹Lorne's 30th Birthday Party‹the band still stuggles with the art of making music. "It's less of an exploration of music as it is a brawl with each individual song," said bassist/vocalist Warren Cobb. "Each of us has to fight hard for not only what the song should sound like as a whole, but what each musician's individual part is. In the end we just hope to survive each show, and, hopefully, learn something deeper about the art of rock music and about ourselves."
